Overall, India’s performance in Tests was mixed, with eight wins and six losses in 15 matches. In ODIs too, they struggled against Sri Lanka, losing a three-match series.
In 2024, India’s batting had mixed fortunes. Yashasvi Jaiswal was the standout performer, scoring 1,478 runs in Tests, while Shubman Gill contributed 866 runs.
Rohit Sharma struggled in Tests but was more good in ODIs and T20Is. Virat Kohli had a disappointing year with just 655 runs across formats.
