SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma will look to give their side a fast start as they pursue 225 posted by GT. Head, who is quite familiar in these parts (2023 WC Final), will be looking to again break some fans’ hearts.
Jaydev Unadkat three late wickets have ensured GT finished with 224/6 in 20 overs despite fifties from Jos Buttler and Shubman Gill. Unadkat was the pick of the bowlers for SRH with figures of 3/28 off four overs.

SRH are fighting back in the contest with two late wickets including Jos Buttler and Washington Sundar in the 20th over.
Flick of the switch and GT are 200-up against SRH. The question remains, how much can they get from here? Buttler and Sundar are key for the home team now but SRH could look to derail their momentum.
Jos Buttler isn’t there to pick up the pieces but the Englishman is roaring like a Lion out from the Gir forest. Buttler is approaching yet another half-century and the GT franchise will take some stopping in this innings.
Big five overs remain for GT and SRH. Jos Buttler is still at the crease and will be key for the home team to get towards a big score. SRH will need to bowl at their best after making a disastrous start despite winning the toss and opting to bowl.

Shubman Gill, who was looking well-set at the crease, is run-out by SRH as the hosts lose their second wicket. Gill, who was running back for the second, seems to have made hesitation in making back and a quick throw from Harshal Patel to Klaasen sees the back of Gill for 78.
That’s some score achieved by Gill & co. GT captain has also reached his half-century in the process.

GT are 100-up inside 10-overs and they are just one wicket down. SRH did remove the wicket of Sai Sudharsan for 48 but that hasn’t helped them one bit as the dangerous Jos Buttler has walked on to the crease.
And just like that GT’s Sai Sudharsan is dismissed on 48 runs. SRH’s Zeeshan Ansari, who has been in decent touch with the ball, takes the edge that goes into Klaasen’s hands. SRH needed that badly!
Think we will have a big score on the cards tonight as Shubman Gill-Sudharsan pair are taking no for an answer. The duo are closing on a 100-run stand for the opening wicket and it’s just 6 overs! What did they have for breakfast?

Wow, 50-up for GT inside 5 overs! Shubman Gill just deposited Pat Cummins to a six and they are looking ominous for the visitors. Cummins and co will have rejig their plans if they are to get back in this game somehow.

It’s the second time that this surface is being used – 196 played 160 – GT v Mumbai Indians, GT winning. It (pitch) looks beautiful. The first game they (GT) lost against the Punjab Kings and the reason behind that was they were out-batted by the explosive power the Punjab Kings had, GT couldn’t match it. The shift to the black soil suits their template, it suits their style of play.
