Exciting news has emerged from both political and cricketing circles – Samajwadi Party legislator Priya Saroj and Indian cricketer Rinku Singh are to wed. The engagement ceremony is set for June 8 in Lucknow, with the wedding scheduled to be held on November 18 at the Taj Hotel in Varanasi.
The announcement has thrilled fans nationwide, many of whom are keenly awaiting the grand celebration that promises to have attendance from influential figures in politics, cricket, and Bollywood.
The news of Priya and Rinku’s romance started spreading earlier this year in January when the two families confirmed that the couple plans to wed. The two, according to their families, had been dating for some time and were being encouraged fully by their loved ones.

Tufani Saroj, a senior Samajwadi Party leader and Priya Saroj’s father, revealed that his daughter had met Rinku via a common acquaintance whose father is also a cricket player. They became friends and, with time, turned their friendship into a romance.
Priya Saroj is the present Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh’s Machhlishahr seat, which her father represented for three terms. Rinku Singh, in contrast, has emerged as a crowd favorite in Indian cricket, popularly remembered for his outstanding performances during T20 games.
After the official confirmation, Tufani Saroj came forward saying that the families had met in Aligarh this year. They decided to settle the wedding plans after the end of the IPL season.
As two big young names are getting hitched, the wedding is bound to be a star-studded event and a moment to remember for the fans in the nation.
