The first round of the Alabama high school football playoffs has ended, and the list of teams advancing in the Tuscaloosa area took a chop along with it.
Some teams have punched in their tickets to the second round of the postseason. Each week, The Tuscaloosa News sportswriter Amelia Hurley will preview and pick playoff games featuring Tuscaloosa-area teams and keep track of how she did. In Round 1, she went 15-3.
