Thanks for joining us for Wide World of Sports' LIVE coverage of day one of the fifth Ashes Test.
    We'll be back tomorrow!
SCG: The match has been adandoned here.
SCG: More cheers from the Members stand.
That first one earlier was because the sun broke out.
Now it's because the umpires walked from the dugout to in front of the Members and back into the dug out.
SCG: A big cheer just came at the Members area.
We're unsure why because the ground staff don't have equipment out yet to bring the covers in.
    But watch this space.
Well there's no cricket at the SCG.
But Fox is showing Otago vs Northern Districts in the Super Smash.
I did not know Billy Bowden is still umpiring but there he is signalling four in his own special way.

SCG: An official from Cricket Australia, the umpires and two groundsmen just had a meeting at the SCG.
There was a few points to the air and a look around at conditions.
The rain has passed for the mometn and it's certainly not as dark as it once was.
SCG: The rain is coming down here in Sydney.
It's looking unlikely we'll get much play this afternoon but we'll avoid the pessimism for now.
SCG: A collective boo rings out around the ground.
It's because the players and umpires are heading off due to the light.
Mitchell Starc is standing out there with the groundsmen while the rest of his team walk off.
"This will cause some angst for Test cricket lovers," caller Mark Howard said on Fox Cricket.

SCG: Cameron Green thought his agony was over.
The all-rounder has been expensive but Harry Brook tried to guide a short ball to third man.
He played and missed with Green celebrating triumphantly.
But no one really wanted to review and Australia didn't. Luckily they didn't because Brook was nowhere near it.
SCG: There's some dark clouds forming around the ground here.
WWOS colleague Alyssa Bone is reporting some hail out near the Penrith area.
The flood lights are now on as a result too.
There is rain forecasted on the way but it'll be interesting whether it arrives before stumps.
