A Stockton barn fire late Sunday led to the death of a horse and several rabbits. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department reported the incident began at 11:07 p.m. Stockton Fire Department and several mutual aid departments responded to 6258 S. Stockton Cassadaga Road. After the fire was extinguished, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct an origin and cause fire investigation. Their investigation found the cause of the fire was a heat lamp, which came in contact with combustible materials. The fire has been ruled as accidental in nature.
