Though Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley was eligible to return from the injured list, it was reported that he may not be activated until Friday.
Riley landed on the 10-day injured list on July 12th due to a strained right abdomen. Skipper Brian Snitker said he did not experience a setback, but the club is just playing it safe. Until Riley’s return, we’ve got Nacho Alvarez Jr. in the hot corner.

The Houston Astros placed righty Lance McCullers Jr. on the 15-day injured list due to a blister. The move is retroactive to July 20th.
The Tampa Bay Rays placed infielder Brandon Lowe on the 10-day injured list with tendinitis in his left ankle.
