An investigation into narcotics activity in the city of Dunkirk ended with an arrest of 63-year-old man.
A search warrant was executed at 219 Townsend St. lower apt. around 6:25 a.m. Tuesday. Narcotics investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department executed the warrant with Dunkirk Police Special Response Team making entry. Located inside the residence at the time of the warrant was Hector W. Quinones.
As a result of the search, investigators seized 22.5 grams of cocaine and scales and packaging material used for the sale and distribution of narcotics. Quinones was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Dunkirk Police Department and later arraigned in City Court.
Authorities continue to ask members of the community to call and report suspicious or narcotics related activity within their neighborhoods.
