Under this landmark agreement, Coca-Cola is designated as the official soft drinks partner, while POWERADE and Dasani Water have become the official hydration partners.
Cricket West Indies (CWI), the governing body for cricket in the West Indies, has announced a significant two-year partnership with The Coca-Cola Company.
This strategic alliance, which began on June 24, 2025, aims to revolutionise player hydration and elevate fan engagement across all levels of West Indies cricket.
Under this landmark agreement, the leading soft drink manufacturer is designated as the official soft drinks partner, while its leading hydration brands, POWERADE and Dasani Water, have become the official hydration partners of West Indies Cricket.
The partnership strategically aligns with the ongoing men’s “Full Ah Energy” Home Series, which commenced with the first Test Match between West Indies and Australia at the iconic Kensington Oval in Barbados.
This collaboration underscores CWI’s unwavering commitment to player welfare and optimal performance. POWERADE and Dasani Water will be supplied throughout all CWI cricket operations, from grassroots development programs and youth initiatives to high-performance pathways and the elite men’s and women’s national teams.
This ensures that players at every stage of their development will have consistent access to high-quality, science-backed hydration solutions, crucial for athletic performance, safety, and recovery.
Cricket West Indies’ CEO, Chris Dehring, spoke on the importance of such a partnership and said, “Hydration plays a critical role in athlete performance, safety, and recovery, and ensuring consistent access to high-quality hydration solutions across all levels of cricket—from grassroots and age-group programmes to our elite men’s and women’s teams—is a top priority for CWI.
“This partnership ensures that the hydration needs of every player across the region are met, reinforcing our commitment to player welfare, preparation, and development.”
“This partnership also represents a strategic alignment focused on enhancing the matchday and fan experience across the region.
“It marks a new chapter in how we build relationships with global commercial brands. Coca-Cola, POWERADE and Dasani bring not only world-class products but also unmatched expertise in consumer experiences. Their support will help us enhance our events and deepen connections with our fans.”
Vineet Singhal, VP Franchise Operations Caribbean at the Coca-Cola Company, added, “We are incredibly excited about this partnership with the CWI. Through POWERADE and Dasani, we are bringing science-backed hydration solutions to players in the Caribbean, helping them to stay at their peak performance.”
Carlos Diaz, VP International Operations, KOSCAB Holding Limited, continued, “Cricket is more than just a sport; it is a unifying force that brings communities together and inspires passion and pride. We aim to continue to support the development of cricket in the Caribbean and provide fans with unforgettable moments both on and off the field.”
Beyond essential player hydration, Coca-Cola will leverage its extensive global marketing expertise to significantly enhance the fan experience and matchday activations. The partnership will see the Coca-Cola brand seamlessly integrated across CWI events, venues, broadcast platforms, and digital channels, promising a more vibrant and engaging spectacle for cricket enthusiasts throughout the Caribbean and globally.
This strategic alliance builds upon Coca-Cola’s strong history of supporting major global sporting properties, including its recent significant sponsorship of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which was co-hosted by the Caribbean and the USA. The partnership reflects Coca-Cola’s recognition of the immense cultural and commercial value inherent in West Indies cricket.
