The No. 13 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and No. 6 LSU Tigers are set to take the stage for the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
LSU is back in the College World Series as it looks to secure its eighth national title and second in three years. Coastal Carolina, meanwhile, is looking to add to its lone national title, which they won in 2016.
The two programs are no strangers to each other, as the Chanticleers downed the Tigers on their way to their only championship. If Coastal Carolina is going to add to its trophy case, history will need to repeat itself.
After LSU took down Arkansas in a stunner on Wednesday and Coastal Carolina rolled over Louisville, the two meet for a chance to win it all this weekend in Omaha. Game 1 is Saturday night, Game 2 is Sunday afternoon and Game 3, if necessary, is scheduled for Monday evening.
