The 9-6 Denver Broncos will play the Bengals on Saturday in Cincinnati in hopes of clinching a playoff berth. With a win, they are in, and the Bengals are mathematically eliminated.
A win this weekend would end the second-longest active playoff drought in the NFL. This will be their first playoff berth since 2015. Which happens to be the year of their last Super Bowl win.
For Cincinnati to make the playoffs, they would need to win out, have Denver lose in Week 18 to the Kansas City Chiefs, and have Miami and Indianapolis lose/tie one game.
It’s a long road that will require a lot of good fortune for the Bengals, but at the end of the day, they have no one to blame but themselves. Joe Burrow is playing at an MVP level, while their defense is putting up horrid numbers this season.
The Bengals are the favorites this weekend while they aim for their fourth straight win.

NBC Sports analyst Brad Thomas (@MrBradThomas) recommends betting on the over 92.5 receiving yards for Ja’Marr Chase…
Thomas: “In what could be considered a must-win for both teams, it’s not crazy to think there is one team who might play with a bit more urgency. A loss and the Bengals are eliminated. They are playing at home and have an offense that can absolutely hum.
Naturally, you’d think that betting an over on a wide receiver against the Broncos is nonsense. However, we’ve seen this season that wide receivers who travel typically have big games against the Broncos. That’s mainly because Patrick Surtain II does not travel with the best wide receiver. So, if you have a great receiver who lines up in the slot and out wide, you can find solid matchups to exploit.
Two recent games come to mind when looking for wide receivers that qualified for that criteria. Zay Flowers went for 127 yards, and Jerry Jeudy went for over 200.
Chase ran 31.5% of his routes from the slot. He’s had a slot rate as high as 38% this season. He’s gone over this number in four of his last six games, and the weather should be solid in the afternoon for this game.
It makes sense to target Chase this weekend.”
