The Vikings were one game away from earning the NFC’s No. 1 seed and a bye week in the playoffs.
Instead, Minnesota dropped its road matchup against the Lions in Week 18, lost the NFC North and is now playing on the road during Wild-Card Weekend. It’s a tough break for the Vikings, who have the third best record in the NFL.

Minnesota will look to bounce back from its 31-9 loss to Detroit when it faces the No. 4-seeded Rams. Los Angeles won the NFC West on a tiebreaker despite holding a negative point differential this season.
The two teams faced each other in Week 8, when the Rams won, 30-20, on their home field.
It’ll be a completely different environment this time around as the veteran and Super Bowl champion Matthew Stafford faces Sam Darnold in the latter’s first ever playoff start.
The Sporting News has all the details on when the Vikings play next.
The Vikings lost their season finale against the Lions, ultimately giving them the No. 5 seed. They were slated to open the playoffs against the Rams in Los Angeles, but the NFL relocated the game to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., due to the Southern California wildfires.
This will be the final game of the weekend, as it kicks off on Monday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN in the United States and TSN1/4/5/CTV in Canada.
Fans can stream the game live on Fubo in the United States or DAZN in Canada.
Fubo offers a free trial for new subscribers so you can try the service before you buy.
For a limited time, you can get your first month of Fubo for as low as $49.99, a $30 savings. Stream ESPN, ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and 200+ top channels of live TV and sports without cable. (Participating plans only. Taxes and fees may apply.)
