Minnesota State Patrol: Richard Dennis Peterson, 82, of Mountain Lake, was driving a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 eastbound on Minnesota 60, and Dominic Gemelli, 66, of Canton, South Dakota, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Cottonwood County 1 when the vehicles collided in the intersection at approximately 3:15 p.m. Sunday in Mountain Lake Township. Both drivers sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Windom Area Health Hospital. Both were wearing seatbelts and the airbags did not deploy in either vehicle. Assisting at the scene were the Mountain Lake Fire, Ambulance and Police departments, the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota Department of Transportation, Windom Towing and G&S Towing.
