It is goalless in the first half of the 2025 European Championship final between England and Spain.
Alessia Russo had the first chance of the game saved by Cata Coll before Hannah Hampton kept out Esther Gonzalez at the other end.
Sarina Wiegman's side are looking to defend their title against the reigning world champions, who have never won this trophy.

England vs Spain Euro 2025 final: A major tournament rematch, key battles and our predictions
Caldentey dropping into the more central pockets is proving really smart for Spain.
Spain should’ve had a shot on target at least from that last spell of pressure.

With some of her first touches of the game, Aitana Bonmatí immediately began orchestrating, waving her hand in a circular motion in what appeared an invitation to share the ball at their pace.
England know they need to press and eliminate Spain’s time to think on the ball; she’s reminding them they don’t need to comply.
10' England 0-0 Spain
After Cata Coll was called into action, now it's the turn of England's Hannah Hampton.
Cross in from the left, taken down beautifully by Esther Gonzalez, the razor-sharp striker, who gets a half-yard of separation and fires from a tight angle on the left side of the area.
Smothered by Hampton. Moments later, the Gotham City forward checks back to meet Olga Carmona's cross but her hooked effort is over. Good try.
To Megan's earlier point, that 10-member drum crew and what sounds like a trumpet are echoing through the television screen into my New Jersey apartment. It sounds like a party!
7' England 0-0 Spain
As Charlotte says, it's been a bit all over the place so far. Whether that suits England or Spain more is debatable.
The rain is likely to be a leveller given Spain's preference for short, sharp passes in midfield. But the ‘technical but not physical’ stereotype of Spanish footballers (both men's and women's) is just that: a stereotype.
Olga Carmona, Ona Batlle, Patri Guijarro, these players can run and run. In fact, their stepping up of the tempo, as directed by little general Bonmati, saw them overpower Germany late on in the semi-final.
The Germans were supposedly far superior physically than the Spanish side. England will not want to empty the tank too early here, even with an extra day's rest after the semi.
The tempo of the game is really high, especially compared to England’s previous fixtures.

England can take advantage, if they want to, of Spain's risky style of play.
They leave a lot of space behind the defence when they look to attack — Cata Coll has had to show up already.
Defensive fragility is Spain's weakness.
England very quickly getting in behind Spain.
That’ll be one of the main problem areas for the Spanish defence, who have been caught out for pace throughout this tournament.
3' England 0-0 Spain
The first shot on goal and it came with England getting in behind Spain's high defensive line!
A lovely first-time through ball from Lucy Bronze, Alessia Russo shoots from a tight angle, parried back into danger by Cata Coll, Lauren James looks for a second like she will latch onto the rebound with the goal gaping…
But she rather tangles with Ona Batlle instead of making clean contact on the ball and it's scrambled away. Decent chance!
2' England 0-0 Spain
As star Spanish playmaker Aitana Bonmati picks up the ball, England striker Alessia Russo drops deep, far deeper than she would typically like to be, to get her body between the ball and the goal.
England crowd Bonmati out and she goes backwards. It's all well and good trying to block her passing lanes, but will the loss of territory be worth it?
1' England 0-0 Spain
As expected, Jess Carter is playing as a left-sided centre-half, Alex Greenwood at left-back.
Interestingly, Lauren James looks to be playing on the left, Lauren Hemp on the right.

This. Is. It.
A record-breaking tournament in terms of fans in stadiums, all building towards this.
England vs Spain, a replay of the 2023 World Cup final.
Ella Toone knocks it backwards to start the match. How will this one go? Let's find out!
Irene Paredes of Spain wins the toss against England's Leah Williamson.
Final seconds before kick-off now…
Missed the line-ups?
No problem. Here they are again.
England (4-3-3): Hampton; Bronze, Williamson, Carter, Greenwood; Toone, Walsh, Stanway; James, Russo, Hemp.
Spain (4-3-3): Coll; Batlle, Paredes, Aleixandri, Carmona; Bonmati, Guijarro, Putellas; Del Castillo, Gonzalez, Caldentey.
‘God Save The King’'s conclusion applauded by dignitaries including William, Prince of Wales.
Handshakes under way.
Is that just me? Don't get me wrong, England's isn't amazing.
But compared to the passion of Italy and Wales and others, their wordless tune feels a bit anticlimactic.
Anyway.

And Stephanie Frappart leads the two sets of players out.
Stephanie Frappart will referee today's European Championship final — and she has plenty of experience for the big occasion.
The Frenchwoman, who took charge of the 2019 Women’s World Cup final, has been an international official since 2011, refereeing 111 matches within UEFA competitions.
She was also the first woman to referee a men’s World Cup match in Qatar in 2022.
She has taken charge of two group games, plus the quarter-final between Italy and Norway, at this summer's Euros.
Some young women are dancing energetically with some plastic clappers on the pitch.
This is technically the tournament's closing ceremony.
A reminder, there is no third-placed play-off.
