Florida high school sports coverage by USA TODAY Network has new digital experience – Naples Daily News

Starting on Oct. 8, the way you see the latest high school sports news, photos and videos will be different.
That’s because for 11 of our USA TODAY Florida Network newsrooms, the high school sports sections of our websites and mobile pages are getting makeovers.
These new pages will bring greater focus on our award-winning journalists who are covering the student-athletes in the most competitive preps landscape in the country. These journalists share the stories of our local high schools stars, both on and off the field, court, pitch or matt, take you inside the game with the coaches leading these leaders of tomorrow, and hold the decision makers accountable.
Our recruiting experts will also keep you informed about where the best football and basketball players in the state will continue their athletic and academic careers and whether you’ll be able to see them at the Swamp, Doak or Hard Rock.
The new design better highlights several of our storytelling devices. Not only will it put the best high school sports writing you can find in the state front and center, but this orientation brings our photography and videos into focus, with individual sections designated for both disciplines.
Plus, if you missed the latest Athlete of the Week poll in your area, it will be more easily accessible for you and your teammates, friends, family and fan section to cast your votes.
These new digital platforms are the first of its kind within the USA TODAY Network and will be featured in these newsrooms: Daytona Beach News Journal, Gainesville Sun, Florida Times-Union, Florida Today, Naples Daily News, Palm Beach Post, Pensacola News-Journal, Sarasota Herald Tribune, Tallahassee Democrat, TC Palm and The News-Press.
