After being involved in a car accident while filming for the BBC television show “Top Gear,” former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The tragedy took place on Monday, December 12 at Duns fold Park Aerodrome, which is located in Surrey. The 45-year-old actor was working with a crew at the time.
According to a statement released by the BBC, “Freddie was wounded in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning. crew medics attended the site shortly after the incident occurred.”
“He was rushed to the hospital to receive more care, and we will confirm more facts as they become available.”
According to a report that was published in The Sun, Flintoff’s injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, and the former all-rounder was driving on the track at a regular speed when the accident occurred.
According to a remark from a reliable source in The Sun, “all the standard health and safety safeguards were in place for filming also.” “Soon after that, Freddie was transported to the hospital in a helicopter emergency medical service. Production has been put on hold for the time being, and everyone’s focus is entirely on making sure Freddie gets well.”
Flintoff has had some sort of accident while working on the show recently, making this the second time in recent memory that he has been affected by one.
In 2019, he survived a crash that occurred at 125 miles per hour and afterwards admitted that he had gone a few lengths further than he should have.
