Full list of amazing London sporting events in 2026 including NBA and T20 – My London

London is set for a year of amazing sporting events including NBA basketball, T20 Cricket and the World Table Tennis Championships. The planned events follow a similarly impressive line-up last year which saw London crowned the global capital for women's sport.
There will also be a full line-up of regular sporting events including both the Women and Men's Six Nations, London marathon and The Wimbledon Championships.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “London is the undisputed sporting capital of the world and there are so many exciting events for Londoners and visitors to look forward to in 2026. From the return of the NBA and the Laver Cup to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, our capital will be home to the biggest and best sporting competitions over the next 12 months.
I am determined to continue bringing more of the world’s biggest sporting events to London and I am actively working with partners to help us secure the 2027 Tour de France Femmes, the 2029 World Athletics Championships and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2035 for the capital.
“It’s a great opportunity for Londoners and visitors to attend some of these amazing sports events and experience everything our city has to offer, as we work to build a better, healthier, more prosperous London for everyone.”
London's O2 Arena will host the NBA clash between Orlando Magic and Memphis Grizzlies on January 18. The NBS London Game 2026 tournament is set to make over £100 million for the UK's economy.
The final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup will take place on July 5 at Lord's, with the semi-finals at The Oval. The Queen's Club will also host the HSBC Championships in Tennis in June, just before Wimbledon Championships land in the capital in the summer.
In Spring, the TTTF World Team Table Tennis Championships will offer Londoners a more niche sporting experience. There will be 64 Women’s and 64 Men’s teams competing for the title at the Copper Box Arena and Wembley Arena 100 years after the first World Championships took place in London.
Wembley Stadium will also host its first ever American football game ahead of the NFL returning to London later in the year. Twickenham will also host the finale of the Nations Championship in Rugby in November.
