Bild have reported that there is no place for Sebastien Haller at Borussia Dortmund next season. This comes as positive news for Utrecht, who are working on a longer stay for the 30-year-old striker.
According to the German outlet, Haller is part of a core of players who ‘will definitely leave’, alongside Youssoufa Moukoko and Giovanni Reyna. “They have no future in Dortmund and are expected to leave the club.”
VoetbalPrimeur knows that the Domstedelingen are working on a longer deal to attract Haller, surpassing his loan from the German club last season.
In Utrecht, they are working hard on a multi-year contract. It is clear that some financial flexibility is needed from all parties, including Haller himself, regarding wage demands. According to sources around the club, the striker remains positive.
Haller was previously under contract with Utrecht between 2015 and 2017. After periods at Eintracht Frankfurt, West Ham United, Ajax and Dortmund, the striker was loaned to Leganes. Haller played 16 matches for FC Utrecht last season. He scored four times and registered one assist.
