ROCHESTER — The Rochester Honkers had a hard time getting the bats going on Saturday night.
As a result, the Thunder Bay Border Cats were able to come away with a 4-2 win in front of an attendance of 811 at Mayo Field.

The Honkers are 6-11 in the second half, and a league-worst 14-39 overall. Thunder Bay is 5-11 and 26-24.
The Rochester offense scored just two runs on six hits.
San Diego State University sophomore Jake Jackson and Gonzaga University redshirt sophomore Maddox Haley each drove in a run for Rochester. Pepperdine University senior catcher Max Aude went 2-for-4 to be the only Rochester hitter to finish with multiple hits.
Thunder Bay scored single runs in the first, third, fourth and seventh innings as part of a 13-hit attack.
Jeremy Sheffield homered in the fourth as part of a 2-for-4 night, while Dylan Snead and Trey Fikes each finished with three hits for Thunder Bay.
Brady Lejeune-Deacutis picked up the loss, allowing three runs on five hits in four innings. Caden Klebba was solid out of the Rochester bullpen, scattering eight hits to allow just one unearned run in four innings.
The two teams will wrap up the two-game series at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday at Mayo Field.
