The Aussies who had for long established dominance over Indians, particularly in red-ball cricket and on home soil, were finally put to their biggest test by a squad of players led by young Virat Kohli back in 2018/19, who took the challenge and the viciousness to Australia.
After wins in the 2018/19 and 2020/21 BGT tours, India would have been quietly confident coming into this series, however, New Zealand produced a magnificent upset by whitewashing the Men in Blue 3-0 in the subcontinent.
Despite the ups and downs for both sides, the first three Tests in the five-match series, is currently tied, with the sides level 1-1 in the series.
