The International Cricket Council (ICC) has thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) for successfully hosting the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan and Dubai. India played all its matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Men in Blue clinched the title after a 4-wicket win over New Zealand on March 9. It was Pakistan’s first global tournament in 29 years. The matches were played in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai.
“We would like to thank and congratulate the Pakistan Cricket Board for successfully hosting the Champions Trophy 2025,” ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said.
“This event was important for the PCB as it was a first multi-team cricket tournament played in the country since 1996. All those involved in the smooth conducting of the matches should be proud of their efforts,” he added.
“The ICC would also like to thank the Emirates Cricket Board for hosting five matches in Dubai and continuing to support the ICC in staging men’s and women’s tournaments,’ he mentioned.
“Fans worldwide watched the ICC events and followed them at the stadiums or on TV channels.
“Thanks to the eight particiapting nations for making it a great event and congratulations to India for lifting the trophy,” he concluded.
