India grabbed a sensational draw in Manchester on the final day of the fourth IND vs ENG Test, despite being behind for most of the days against England. Ben Stokes’ side seemed to have the upper-hand in the Test, but final day heroics from Shubman Gill (103), KL Rahul (90), Washington Sundar (101) and Ravindra Jadeja (107) ensured the visitors came back with a draw.
A win for England in the fifth and final Test would hand them the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy, but the visitors won’t give up that easily. Also at stake are crucial points in the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle.
However, the hosts won’t have their inspirational captain leading at The Oval, with Ben Stokes ruled out due to injury and Ollie Pope would lead instead. For the visitors, Rishabh Pant is ruled out as well and there are question marks over Jasprit Bumrah’s availability in the crunch game.
