    IND vs SA, Women’s ODI World Cup 2025: Richa Ghosh played the undoubtedly the best knock of her career as the No.8 batter rescued India from being at 102/6 at one stage to eventually post 251 all out in 49.5 overs against South Africa in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. Coming out to bat in the 27th over, Richa first forged a 51-run stand with Amanjot Kaur before staging another 88-run partnership with Sneh Rana. For South Africa, Chloe Tryon took three wickets while Marizanne Kapp, Nadine de Klerk and Nonkululeko Mlaba got two wickets each.

    History for Smriti Mandhana in Vizag. The Indian vice-captain surpassed Belinda Clarke for most runs in a single calendar year in women’s ODIs. Mandhana now has 981 runs in 2025, while Clarke had scored 970 runs in 1997.

    Pratika Rawal is on the attack. She starts off the fifth over with two back to back boundaries and now gets in the mid-twenties. This start continues to get better for India as they start buiding a lead inside the powerplay.
    The Indian batters have given the Women in Blue a solid start at Vizag, scoring 22 runs in the first four overs of rhe match. Rawal has taken much of the risks so far, scoring 17 runs off 14 balls while Smriti Mandhana has stayed vigilant, scoring 2 runs from 10 balls.

    South Africa have won the toss and decided to bowl first in Vizag. Harmanpreet Kaur says she would have liked to bowl first as well.
    The two captains are at the venue and the broadcasters are discussing the challenges ahead for both teams but the toss hasn’t been held yet. To recap, the toss was supposed to be conducted at 3:15PM with the match scheduled to begin at 3:45PM

    And finally we have an update on the match. The toss has been delayed and will now be held at 3:15PM. The first ball will be bowled at 3:45 PM and the match has ultimately been delayed by 45 minutes. Thankfully, there are no overs cut at the moment.
    It’s pouring in Visakhapatnam which has led to the toss at the centre being delayed. An inspection was scheduled for 2:45 PM and we are expecting more details on match resumption soon afterwards.
    India’s World Cup campaign thus far has seen them put up two sub-par performances but win by emphatic margins.
    India defeated Sri Lanka by 59 runs in Guwahati in a rain-affected game before going on to thrash arch rivals Pakistan by 88 runs in Colombo.
