Infinity Dance Academy opened its doors in September 2005, welcoming 41 eager students and a dream to build something extraordinary. Within just two years, the dance family outgrew our original space and moved into a larger facility, marking the first of many milestones.
Guided by four visionary instructors, early classes included ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and Irish dance. Its very first recital was a one-day celebration — a memory we still cherish. Today, that single day has blossomed into a three-day event showcasing the talent and passion of more than 170 students.
The faculty has grown to five dedicated teachers, supported by a passionate team of teaching assistants and demonstrators. Together, they inspire students across a wide range of disciplines, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, musical theater, acro, and competitive dance.
From 2005 to 2014, Infinity competed in both cheer and dance before choosing to focus exclusively on dance. The move to the East Main complex sparked another era of growth, with two studio renovations that brought state-of-the-art flooring and facilities to our dancers.
In 2014, the competitive program began with just five teams of six students. Today, Infinity proudly presents 46 competitive routines — from solos and duets to large group productions, including a standout 46-dancer routine that took the stage by storm. We’ve had the honor of performing at Worlds in New Jersey for seven consecutive years, with six routines selected most recently — a testament to our students’ commitment and talent.
Over the years, it has earned numerous awards for choreography, entertainment, and kindness. Among them, the ADCC “Studio of Excellence” stands out as a proud symbol of our studio’s values.
In 2018, Emily Harris, daughter of our founder Cheryl Corbett, took the reins, continuing the legacy of excellence and community. Under her leadership, the studio has flourished, inspiring young dancers from across the county to pursue their passion with joy and discipline.
“Looking ahead, we dream of even greater things. Perhaps in 20 years, our story will come full circle as Emily’s daughter Lilly steps into leadership, carrying forward the family’s love for dance,” the business noted.
“No matter the future, one thing remains constant: our unwavering commitment to each and every student, recreational or competitive. Watching them grow, thrive, and light up the stage at recital time — that is our greatest reward.”
