Everton have opened talks with Manchester City over a potential move to sign Jack Grealish.
The Merseyside club have made an approach to sign the winger on a season-long loan.
The deal is considered complicated and at this stage there are no guarantees it will materialise, but discussions are happening over the England international.

Grealish, 29, was restricted to just seven Premier League starts during the 2024-25 campaign and was an unused substitute during City’s FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace.
He was omitted from the matchday squad for the final game of the season against Fulham, which Pep Guardiola said was “nothing personal”.
“I’m the person who fought for him to come here and the person who fought for him to stay here this season and the next season,” Guardiola said. “I’m the one who said I want Jack Grealish.
“What happens in the future is a job for Txiki (Begiristain, City’s director of football), Hugo (Viana, the club’s sporting director) and the agents.”
Grealish joined City from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021 for a club record fee of £100million. The six-year contract he signed upon moving to the club runs through to 2027.
Grealish won the Premier League title in each of his first three seasons at City and he played a key role in the their treble-winning campaign in 2022-23. He played 50 matches for Guardiola’s side across that season, including starting every knockout match and the final as City won their first Champions League title.
However, the England international’s game-time has decreased in subsequent seasons as he dropped behind Phil Foden, Savinho, Jeremy Doku, Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva in the forward-line pecking order.
He featured in 20 Premier League matches in 2023-24, with just 10 as a starter, and again made only 20 Premier League appearances in 2024-25, providing one goal and one assist.
Grealish played 24 matches for England across the 2021 and 2022 calendar years, but was excluded from Gareth Southgate’s 2024 European Championship squad and is yet to be recalled by new head coach Thomas Tuchel.
