The regular season is officially done, and the Boston Celtics have once again finished as one of the top teams in the NBA. With a 61-21 record, they earned the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference and had the third-best record in the league behind the Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers.
As they prepare for their title defense, the Celtics have a lot of momentum and seem ready to take on the challenge. Boston will aim to repeat as champions, becoming the first NBA team to do so since the 2017-18 Golden State Warriors.
Though the Celtics still do not know who their opponent in the first round of the playoffs will be between the Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic, they still have a lot going well for them and should feel good about their odds.
Recently, Jaylen Brown received a notable injury update regarding his knee. However, teammate Jrue Holiday recently spoke about Brown's injury and sent a clear message that fans will want to see.
Recently, ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported that Brown has received injections to manage the pain in his right knee. Though this could be considered a bit of a concerning update, Holiday made his feelings clear about the situation, saying "nobody is worried about him."
“He looked good to me. JB is going to be JB in terms of not showing weakness — everything is about not showing weakness, for him," Holiday said regarding Brown's injury. "Nobody is worried about him.”
The Celtics do not know who their first-round opponent will be, but it has already been made official that their first game of the playoffs will be on Sunday, April 20. Until then, Brown's injury status will be crucial to monitor.
