Mumbai Indians have decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Skipper Hardik Pandya mentioned that it was a fresh wicket and didn’t know it was going to play and hence, decided to bowl first. MI’s first win against KKR came while chasing and would want to repeat the same even though it will be a black soil pitch.
Akash Deep declared in the pre-match press conference that he was 100 per cent fit and was raring to go after missing the first three matches. Akash was seen marking his run-up and is likely to play his first match for LSG.
Not just Rishabh Pant, another Indian batter looking for some form is the national captain Rohit Sharma, who hasn’t looked himself. Rohit has played as an impact player in the couple of games and will be keen to get his side a good start after what Ryan Rickelton did in the last game at the Wankhede Stadium.
It hasn’t been a great start for Rishabh Pant with the bat in the 2025 edition of the IPL for a new franchise, Lucknow Super Giants. Having scored just 17 runs in three matches and his side losing two games, Pant and LSG would benefit from each other to have their skipper getting in some form. Pant’s best bet to get into form would be to open the innings… but will he?
The stage is set for game 16 of the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2025. Lucknow Super Giants are hosting Mumbai Indians at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, and with one win in three matches, both sides will hope to put in a good performance.
