Manchester United have beaten Newcastle in the Premier League’s only Boxing Day fixture.
Patrick Dorgu fired a superb volley into the bottom-left corner to record his first goal for the club (24').
Benjamin Sesko struck the crossbar moments before Lewis Hall did the same at the other end.

Man Utd 1 Newcastle 0: Has Amorim embraced the back four? How does Howe fix his side’s away form?
And neither is the fact Newcastle are still without to get a point in the Premier League this campaign after falling behind.
They wouldn't be very good trampoline makers.
    A severe lack of bouncebackability.
…not a fantastic record for Eddie Howe's side.
A real team performance from Manchester United today.
A little desperate and frantic at times but they were so committed in defending their goal out on that pitch.
A great result given the absentees for Manchester United, a very encouraging first half, at times a confusing second half.
Newcastle should be very embarrassed by that, they barely made the United goalkeeper make a save even when the home team was misshapen and with a bunch of kids out on the pitch.
Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven, both absolutely fantastic today, take hugs and high-fives from their team-mates.
Newcastle's Eddie Howe has a face like thunder.
Bruno Guimaraes shakes his head and mouths obscenities to himself in front of the away end.
    That's it!
Referee Anthony Taylor blows his whistle and that is the match wrapped up for Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim's side battled so, so hard for that win.
    A massive three points.
Whereas for Newcastle it's more disappointment, more away misery, another match to add to the record of not claiming a point after going behind.
We will have all the post-match reaction for you right here in this live coverage so do not go anywhere! Stick with us.
    90+6' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
Pretty much last chance saloon for Newcastle…
And an Anthony Gordon cross sails out of play.
Diogo Dalot raises his arms in the air in celebration.
    90+4' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
Flat low ball slammed into the area from Newcastle, Senne Lammens comes a long way and the Manchester United goalkeeper claims it superbly.
    Great handling.
Exactly what the young defence in front of him needed.
The Belgian flaps at a cross a minute later but gathers it at the second attempt.
    90+3' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
Bit of a nasty tackle from Matheus Cunha on Lewis Hall there, leaving one on him late after the ball was gone.
He is booked by referee Anthony Taylor, pictured.
A bit of a surprise as it's his first yellow of the season.
Also not a surprise because I've just brought him into my Fantasy Premier League team and it's absolutely typical after you do that!
    90+1' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
Into the first minute of seven added on at the end of the 90 minutes, Lewis Miley has a big chance.
Gordon to the underlapping Hall, nice cross to the back post.
It's controlled brilliantly by Miley with his studs but his left-footed effort with his second touch is scooped over.
Malacia's resurrection from the ‘bomb squad’ is complete.
These are his first minutes since being cast out with Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho.
    88' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
Off come two experienced players, two leadership figures in Manchester United's defence, Martinez and Shaw (both of whom have struggled with injuries recently, to be fair).
On come Tyrell Malacia, almost an outcast at the club, and 20-year-old academy player Tyler Fredricson.
Bold moves. If United concede there will be real questions over Amorim's subs.
    88' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
Gordon strikes over from Barnes' ball at the end of a smooth sweeping move.
Patrick Dorgu takes a cross in the face and goes down. It is a right whack in the face, to be fair.
It’s fair to say they haven't tested Lammens enough but aside from that — it's a pretty big qualification, admittedly — Newcastle have been excellent in this second half.
I'm not entirely sure what Manchester United are attempting to do aside from hold on, but they've been pushed further and further back.
Newcastle have had more of the ball, more shots, more control. The scoreline tells a different story, of course.
    86' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
With maybe only 10 minutes left, including added time, the hosts are sitting very deep to protect their narrow lead.
Almost a back six of Dalot, Yoro, Heaven, Martinez, Shaw, Dorgu.
Fletcher, Ugarte and Cunha in a tight midfield three behind Zirkzee up front.
    6-3-1!
Zirkzee takes a few pelters from the Stretford End for not contesting the aerial challenge after Lammens' hoofed clearance.
He does better on one right afterwards, but he's going to need to hold the ball up better or it will just keep coming back at his team-mates.
    83' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
At the other end, Joe Willock makes a nice underlapping run but his powerful cross is cleanly claimed by Senne Lammens, who is searching for just his second Premier League clean sheet.
Does the simple things well, Lammens.
    82' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
Matheus Cunha wins a firm 50-50 tackle in midfield and drives forward into plenty of space behind the Newcastle midfield.
Not much on and his supporting players being marked, he shoots hard and low.
    Hits across it. Wide.
    77' Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle
Joe Willock is on for the booked Sandro Tonali, pictured, in midfield for Newcastle, by the way.
