MARQUETTE – Marquette Superiors competitive cheer team took home another national title during their competition early this July in Cleveland Ohio.
“We placed second, and it was so exciting,” said cheerleader Isabelle Moebius. “All of our hard work paid off, and being recognized on the national level was such a proud and rewarding moment for our whole team.”
The team participated in two different divisions. Division 3 took first place and Division 4 took second place. This is the team’s third time placing in nationals, which happened in 2022 and 2024 respectively. Along with various Michigan state titles under their belts.
“I think a huge part of our success came from the strong bond we have as a team,” said Moebius. “Our coaches are also a big factor, they’re always encouraging us and pushing us to be our best. That support really helps us work together and stay positive when we take the stage.”
Competing at nationals is really impactful for the members of Marquette Superiors, as it provides a chance to test the skills they have developed all year.

“Nationals is what we look forward to all season. It’s always an amazing and memorable experience that brings us closer together as a team,” said Moebius. “Nationals is really important to me, it’s a chance to see how we measure up against top teams from all over. If someone’s interested in competitive cheer, wants to be part of a team, and make amazing memories, then Marquette Superiors is the perfect place to start.”
Members of Marquette Superiors recommend members to join. The next cheer season begins in September with practices happening at the Masonic Square Mall. Practices for Divisions 1 through 3 take place on Monday nights, with Division 4 practicing on Wednesday nights.
“With our strong history at states and nationals, and the dedication of both our teammates and coaches, I think next year is looking really promising,” Moebius said.
