ESCANABA — As the Escanaba Motor Speedway passes the halfway mark of the 2025 season, the excitement on the track continues to heat up. Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch got the opportunity to sit down with one of this season’s rookies in the youth micro sprints Colton Yelle to discuss a number of topics.
Adam Hinch: What got you into racing?
Colton Yelle: It is fun to watch and it looked like something I wanted to do.
AH: What is your favorite subject in school?
CY: I’m going to say math.
AH: What sports do you like?
CY: I really like tennis.
AH: What is your favorite food?
CY: I’d have to say pizza.
AH: What are your goals for this season?
CY: learn the car and help others when I can.
AH: What do you like to do on your spare time for fun?
CY: Play with my brother and ride around on my dirt bike.
AH: Are you a NASCAR fan and who is your favorite driver?
CY: I do like NASCAR and I like Kyle Larson.
AH: What is your favorite beverage?
CY: I like orange soda.
