Led by head coach Tom Izzo, the Michigan State Spartans have consistently been among the best college basketball programs over the past several seasons.
Izzo led Michigan State to the Elite Eight this past season, despite an inexperienced roster with players like heralded freshman Jase Richardson.
The Spartans defeated Ole Miss, New Mexico and Bryant before losing to Auburn in the NCAA Tournament.
After the season, Tom Izzo and his staff got busy in the transfer portal as they prepare for another run at the national title.
The Spartans received commitments from several blue-chip prospects, including Florida Atlantic Owls transfer Kaleb Glenn.
While Glenn was viewed as an immediate contributor for the Spartans, Izzo and Michigan State recently learned that the talented forward has suffered a torn patellar tendon and will miss the entire 2025-26 college basketball season, per Joe Tipton.
Kaleb Glenn averaged 12.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game last season with the FAU Owls. Before playing one season at FAU, Glenn also played with the Louisville Cardinals.
During his freshman season at Louisville, Glenn posted 3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game.
He committed to the Cardinals as a four-star prospect out of high school.
The incoming Michigan State transfer was also listed as a four-star recruit in the portal after making a name for himself in the American Athletic Conference.
Despite the loss of Glenn for Tom Izzo and his coaching staff, Michigan State will be welcoming several other transfers set to make an impact in their first season with the Spartans, including Divine Ugochukwu (Miami Hurricanes) and Trey Fort III (Samford Bulldogs).
