In a historic move, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Hina Munawar as the first female manager of the Pakistan men’s cricket team, marking a groundbreaking decision ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy.
Munawar, a seasoned police officer with expertise in security and operations, will serve as Operations Manager for both the Tri-Nation series and Champions Trophy.

She joined the PCB last year and was appointed manager of the Pakistan women’s under-19 team for the Asia Cup.
A source close to PCB emphasized her trailblazing journey, saying she was “the first female district officer in the Frontier Constabulary in Swat.”

While Munawar continues to serve with the Police Service of Pakistan, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was instrumental in getting her on board on deputation.
The strategic move is a part of PCB’s efforts to revamp team management and create a more organized and efficient environment.
