The Windhoek leg of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup League Two 2023-27 is set to witness its fifth game, with hosts Namibia taking on Netherlands in the 59th match overall of the league, at the Wanderers Cricket Ground on Thursday, March 13. (More Cricket News)
Namibia enter this match on the back of a heartbreaking Super Over loss to Canada. Allotted a revised (DLS) target of 175 runs in 39 overs, Gerhard Erasmus’s side was dismissed for 174 runs in 39 overs, leading to a tied game. In the Super Over, Namibia lost both wickets for four runs and Canada chased it down off three balls.
The previous game for Netherlands, on the other hand, was abandoned due to rain against Canada. Scott Edwards’ side is placed third in the points table with 18 points from 15 games so far, while Namibia are sixth with 12 points from 18 encounters.

As per the rules of the ICC CWC League 2023-27, the top four teams will earn direct qualification for the Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027 whereas the bottom-placed teams will take part in the ICC World Cup qualifier, that sees them compete with teams from the ICC World Cup Challenge League, ICC’s third-tier 50-over tournament.
The Windhoek leg is the final stop with a tri-series featuring hosts Namibia, the Netherlands, and Canada.
