Nepal’s men’s cricket team missed out on qualifying for the 2025 Asia Cup after a series of setbacks in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup. Despite entering the tournament with high hopes, Nepal’s journey ended with a six-wicket loss to the UAE in the semifinals.

Nepal and Kuwait clashed in three T20I matches against each other. Nepal have won two while Kuwait emerged victorious in one game. The most recent clash saw Kuwait beat Nepal by three runs.

The Nepal skipper looked to punch it off the back foot through the covers, but the ball sneaks in between bat and pad, crashing into the stumps. Big wicket for Kuwait right when Nepal needed a partnership! Rohit Paudel walks back for a brisk 16 off 15, and the hosts are in a bit of trouble now.

Clean bowled! Naveenraj Rajendran keeps his line tight on a good length, and Kushal Malla misses the ball completely while trying to play across the line. The stumps are rattled, and Nepal lose another key wicket. Malla departs for just 4 off 9, putting pressure back on the hosts as Kuwait strike again in the middle overs.

Bhurtel calls for a quick single, but Dipendra hesitates, and Patel’s sharp pick-up and direct hit leaves him short of the crease. He departs for 20 off 19 balls, and Nepal lose another key wicket in a crucial phase of the innings.

After a blazing 66 off 56 balls, featuring 3 fours and 3 towering sixes, he tried to continue his assault but misses a full delivery from Anudeep Chenthamara. The stumps are rattled, and the crowd feels the impact of losing a well-set batter. Bhurtel’s knock was the backbone of Nepal’s innings.
