NED 26/1 (3)
15 runs off the third over from Karan KC and Netherlands have bounced back well after the wicket of Vikramjit Singh in the very first over. Michael Levitt has hit two sixes and a four in his 11-ball 20 so far. Netherlands would love to see Levitt keep going with his aggressive intent. Nepal need a wicket.
NED 58/4 (7)
It is looking like Michael Levitt is batting on other pitch and other Dutch batters are batting on another surface. Four batters are back in the pavilion but Levitt is nearing his half-century. Odd from Netherlands so far.
NED 174/7 (20)
Michael Levitt’s 86 and Reolof van der Merwe’s late 36 not out have taken Netherlands to a decent score. 175 is the target for Nepal. Their trump card Sandeep Lamichhane was taken for 38 runs in his four overs with only one wicket. That helped the Dutch come out of the horrible start and post this good total.
NEP 25/1 (3)
A wicket for Netherlands in the third over and Nepal’s good start has been derailed. Aasif Sheikh is gone. Debutant Bhim Sharki is the new man in on his debut. Let us see how he goes.
NEP 65/1 (7) need 110 runs in 78 balls
Nepal in total control. Debutant Bhim Sharki has impressed a lot. 23 off 12 for him right now. Kushal Bhurtel has moved to 32 and thing looking in Nepal’s favour currently. Wickets needed for Netherlands.
Nepal opener batter Kushal Bhurtel completed his half-century with a single on the last delivery of the 11th over. Captain Rohit Paudel lost his wicket in the next over. Nepal still need 78 runs off 52 balls to win this match.
Kushal Bhurtel lost his wicket after making 65 runs off 51 balls. Dipendra Singh Airee and Aarif Sheikh are at the crease with Nepal needing 33 runs in the last four overs to win.
Seven needed off the final over. It is getting interesting once again. A Nepal match without drama does not exist. Here we are witnessing another close game. A set Aarif Sheikh is on strike. Can he take Nepal over the line?
Nepal need 7 runs in 6 balls
Jach Lion Cachet has the ball. In an interesting move, Aarif Sheikh has been retired out and Lokesh Bam has come to the crease.
And he smashes a first ball six to level scores. What a move from Nepal. They start celebrating now.
Six on the first ball. Six on the fourth ball and Lokesh Bam has taken Nepal over the victory line with two balls still left in the contest. Brilliant end for Nepal and they win by six wickets.
Nepal win by six wickets!
Nepal win and once again in a thrilling game that went down to the wire. Two balls still left in contest and Lokesh Bam smashed a six to take Nepal over the line. Nepal bowlers had taken four wickets in the powerplay to take a good start but Michael Levitt smashed 86 to take Netherlands to 174. Chasing 175, Kushal Bhartel scored 65 and Aarif Sheikh scored 39 before getting retired hurt. Bam came to the crease with seven needed off the final over and he smashed a six off the first and fourth ball to help Nepal win the game.
NED 174/7 (20)
NEP 180/4 (19.4)
Nepal won by 6 wkts
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Michael Levitt
With this win, Nepal now have two wins in their three games while Netherlands have lost two and won two. The hopes of Dutch of winning the triseries are almost over. Nepal can win the triseries if they can beat Scotland in the last match and Scotland can win if they win.
Thank you for following us. We will be back with Nepal’s game against Scotland tomorrow.
