Nepal are set to take on Scotland in the third match of the ongoing Scotland Tri-Nation T20I Series 2025 on 17 June at the Titwood Cricket Ground in Glasgow. The hosts will come into the contest with confidence after a big opening-day win against the Netherlands, while Nepal are still reeling from a dramatic triple Super Over loss to the Dutch.
Scotland, as hosts, are sitting atop the table with one win in one outing. Their opening-day clash saw them defend a modest 160-run total. However, a terrific bowling performance saw Safyaan Sharif, Mark Watt, and Jack Jarvis take two wickets apiece. The Scottish bowlers dismissed the Netherlands for 121, securing a 39-run win.
With the bat, Finlay McCreath (40 off 28 balls) and Matthew Cross (33 off 24) led the line for Scotland, and will be key in the fixture against Nepal.
Meanwhile, the Rhinos are in the bottom place of the tournament after losing their opening game against the Dutch after three Super Overs. A three-wicket spell from Sandeep Lamichhane restricted the Netherlands to 152, which Nepal matched, led by captain Rohit Paudel’s innings of 48 off 35 deliveries.
The late cameo by Nandan Yadav, who struck 12 off 4 balls, forced the game into a Super Over. However, what followed was a bizarre sequence of tied Super Overs, with Nepal finally defeated after failing to score a run in the third. This was the first-ever professional cricket match that featured three Super Overs.
