The update does not get any promising as the wait for resumption continues. Earlier on in the day, India thrashed Bangladesh by eight wickets to get the Super Four stage of the competition underway.
The tournament started with six teams – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. India and Nepal qualified from one group, while the remaining two slots were filled by Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Unfortunately, we do not have any good news at the moment, we we patiently wait for the rain to stop and play to resume. Stay tuned!
There will be a small delay as rain stops play at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. As things stand, Nepal will be the happier side as they have picked up a wicket in the first over, and with cool, overcast conditions, the ball could move around.
We are underway in Kuala Lumpur and Nepal are up and running with an early, early strike as Hiruni Hansika has to make the long walk back after a three-ball duck. Puja Mahato has started off on a brilliant note for Nepal.
Here are the playing XIs of both Nepal and Sri Lanka ahead of their Super Four fixture.
