The New York Giants have struggled to find quality talent over the last few years. It's a big reason why they have won just nine games in the previous two seasons combined.
General manager Joe Schoen understands his role in creating New York's oft-failed series of rosters. Failed draft picks, bad free agent pickups, and odd trades have all been major hindrances to the Giants' rebuild.
    But …
The 2025 offseason has been different.
    Maybe.
On the surface? New York not only made smart value signings to solve some of its secondary and quarterback woes, but it also brought in star-quality talent from the latest NFL Draft.
How smart? With the eve of the start of training camp approaching, ESPN's Seth Walder graded out the Giants' offseason by giving them a "B."
    An example of the praise?
"Paulson Adebo, who suffered a broken femur in Week 7 last season, had strong on-ball numbers over the previous two seasons combined, with minus-49 EPA allowed as the nearest defender, per NFL Next Gen Stats," Walder said.
"But on-ball production isn't stable from year to year, and metrics that I would consider more important — such as target rate and yards per coverage snap — are more worrying."
When Adebo is healthy, he can be the kind of lockdown cornerback that the Giants have been looking for over the last few years.
Nevertheless, he remains a big question for New York. The Giants have one of the top defensive lines in the sport and have revitalized their quarterback room with Russell Wilson and maybe most importantly, first-round pick Jaxson Dart.
If Adebo can return to his old ways, the G-Men will be much better than many expect going into the 2025 season. But bigger than that? Draft Abdul Carter and a QB in the first round, and you'll almost always earn a good grade from the critics.
