The rain-shortened second T20I saw Pakistan struggle to 135 for 9, with Mohammad Haris, Hasan Nawaz, Irfan Khan, and Khushdil Shah failing to fire. Skipper Agha Salman led with 46, supported by Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi.
In response, New Zealand’s openers dominated, Tim Seifert hit 45, while Finn Allen smashed 38, including three consecutive sixes off Mohammad Ali. Despite a few stumbles, the hosts sealed victory in the 14th over with five wickets in hand.
Pakistan have won the toss and have opted to bowl first against New Zealand.
