NFL World Reacts to Christian McCaffrey's Life-Changing News originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The San Francisco 49ers have been on a rollercoaster over the past several seasons.
San Francisco has been in the Wild Card conversation, missed the playoffs and competed in the Super Bowl all in the past few seasons under head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Last season was a rough one for the Niners, and much of that came with the loss of Christian McCaffrey, who only played four games for San Francisco.
McCaffrey dealt with Achilles tendinitis and also had a PCL injury that forced him to sit for the majority of the season.
During the offseason, as McCaffrey works to get back on the field for the 49ers, he shared some exciting news with fans on social media.
McCaffrey and his wife, Olivia Culpo, announced that they have welcomed their first child together. They shared the news on Instagram and revealed the baby's name: Colette Annalise McCaffrey.
Upon the release of the announcement, NFL players and fans shared sweet messages to Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo.
"Congratulations," posted the official social media account of the NFL.
"Mom and dad!!!" George Kittle said.
"Beautiful Queen! Just like her momma," Claire Kittle, George Kittle's wife, commented.
"Huge Congratulations to you three McCaffery’s. What a beautiful baby girl Colette is," said one fan.
"I’m crying," said another fan.
"Nothing better!! Congrats," commented Fred Warner.
Last season with the San Francisco 49ers, Christian McCaffrey posted 202 yards on 50 carries in four games. His limited season came just one year after one of the best seasons of his career when McCaffrey posted 14 touchdowns and 1,459 yards.
