IRON MOUNTAIN – Cami Sleeter posted 14 kills, Aubrey Applekamp added 11 and Raina Ledzian handed out 29 assists to lead North Dickinson to a 25-21, 25-19, 25-13 sweep of Iron Mountain in a nonconference match Monday at Mountaineer Gym.
With the victory, the Nordics (15-9-2) sealed their season sweep of the Mountaineers, having defeated their Dickinson County neighbors in five sets on Sept. 15.
“We came in and executed well,” ND coach Taylor Johnson said. “Iron Mountain plays similarly to teams we will see in the next few weeks, so this was an encouraging win as we move toward the postseason.
“I thought we played scrappy and really showed what we are capable of. It was a solid win for us.”
While the Nordics posted their fifth consecutive victory, the Mountaineers (3-19-1) suffered their 13th straight defeat.
