Oasis Sports Complex back on the table Wednesday – Cape Coral Breeze

The planned Oasis Sports Complex will be discussed today at a joint meeting between Cape Coral City Council and the Cape Coral Charter School Authority Governing Board.
The site plan, at 30% design, calls for 3.66 acres for hardscape, 4.83 acres for green space and a 7,076-square-foot building.
The multi-purpose complex, to be built on the eastern side of the Oasis Charter School Campus, also includes 1,160 bleacher seats for the home side, and 580 for the visitor side.
A food truck area for three trucks and 265 new parking spaces also is part of the design.
There are 23 competitive athletic teams for boys and girls at Oasis High, including baseball, basketball, bowling, cheer, dance, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, wrestling and weightlifting. There is the potential to add lacrosse.
It is estimated that the now 900 all-time-high student enrollment the high school will reach 1,058 students by 2030. The municipal charter high started with 25 students in 2009 when it opened.
More than 40% of the student population now participates on an athletic team. By 2026, the high school is expected to have a 75-student football team.
The meeting will take place at 3:30 p.m. today, Feb. 19, in City Council chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. The meeting is open to the public.
