Vikas Kohli, the brother of India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)’s superstar Virat Kohli, has openly criticised former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar for his remarks on his brother.
Manjrekar recently said that Virat Kohli is past his prime and doesn’t consider his matchup against Jasprit Bumrah ‘best vs best’. The 59-year-old also didn’t include Kohli in his list of top-10 IPL 2025 batters.
Both Kohli and RCB have been in phenomenal form in the IPL 2025. RCB have won seven of their 10 encounters and Kohli has played a big role in that, slamming 443 runs across 10 innings at an average of 63.29 and a strike rate of close to 140.
Posting on Threads, Virat Kohli’s brother said: "Mr. Sanjay Manjrekar. Career ODI strike rate: 64:31. Easy to talk about 200 plus strike rates."
Kohli has now retired from the T20Is but will continue playing in the IPL. The right-handed batter, however, is still part of India's ODI and Test set-ups.
