Duluth Denfeld found the solution to a six-game winless streak on Tuesday night, as the Hunters took down Mounds View 6-4 in nonconference boys hockey at TCO Sports Garden in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota.

The Hunters scored their six goals on 27 shots, while Gabriel Miner made 24 saves in the net for Denfeld (2-6-1), whose last win came Nov. 22 at Cambridge-Isanti.
The Hunters will meet Anoka on Monday at 7 p.m. as they begin their defense of the Heritage Holiday Classic on home ice.
East’s luck in overtimes still hasn’t turned, as Jack Rykkeli bagged a game-winner for Andover with just 23 seconds left in overtime in Andover, Minnesota on Tuesday.
East, which is now 0-2-1 in games going beyond regulation, had the lead twice in the early going after goals from Jax Edgerton and Henrik Spenningsby, but Andover equalized both times and took a lead in period two before Zane Medlin’s goal on the power play bonded the teams going into the second intermission and throughout the third period.
Nolan Nygaard made 28 saves for East (3-5-1), which plays at Roseville on Saturday.
The Bluejackets took control early in a matinee at the Hibbing Memorial Arena on Tuesday, hanging four goals on the Stars in the first period.
Cole Swanson had one of those for and a second score in the third period to finish with two goals and three assists, while Whitaker Rewertz also scored twice.

Gavin Lamphere made 28 saves for Hibbing/Chisholm (10-1), still No. 2 in the state in Class A. The Bluejackets will host No. 3 Delano on Saturday, a day after the Tigers play at No. 1 Hermantown.
The Greyhounds found a spark on offense in the second half making up for a 22-point first half by outscoring the host Bluejackets by 19 after the break en route to a win on Tuesday night.
Kaden Meyer finished with 13 points for East (2-4), while LaDainian Bowman scored 11 and Ty Nyberg 10.
Natalie Falk made three 3-pointers as Two Harbors pulled away in overtime at home against Silver Bay on Tuesday night.
The Mariners and Agates were close throughout, but Two Harbors outscored Silver Bay 12-5 in the extra four minutes, rendering a 23-point game from the Mariners’ Kinley Nelson all for naught.
