Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed for a two-ball duck opening the batting for Rajasthan Royals.
The 14-year-old was playing three days after scoring the second quickest century in IPL history.
Mumbai Indians defeated Rajasthan Royals by 100 runs.
Fourteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has received a reality check, dismissed for a duck three days after his amazing Indian Premier League (IPL) century.
In front of his Rajasthan Royals fans at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Suryavanshi strode to the crease to lead the chase of Mumbai Indians' 2-217.
But just two balls later, the teenaged opener was out after depositing an attempted drive off Deepak Chahar into the safe hands of Will Jacks at mid-on.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi announces himself as a global megastar with an astounding century in the IPL at just 14. Here is why his astonishing achievement has been met with raised eyebrows by some.
Suryavanshi had smashed the second fastest century in the IPL's 18 seasons on Monday.
He reached the milestone from 35 balls, helping Rajasthan post a thumping eight-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans in Jaipur.
Only Chris Gayle has hit a quicker IPL ton than fellow left-hander Suryavanshi.
Suryavanshi would have been close to that 30-ball display had he not played himself in with nine runs off his first seven deliveries.
Thereafter he hit 92 off 28 balls, finishing on 101 with 11 sixes and seven fours.
On Thursday, Rajasthan slumped to 5-47 inside the powerplay, before eventually being all out 117, as Mumbai recorded a 100-run victory.
Earlier, player of the match Ryan Rickelton (61) and Sharma (53) put on 116 for Mumbai's first wicket.
The IPL's top run-scorer Suryakumar Yadav and captain Hardik Pandya upped the ante for Mumbai, both recording unbeaten knocks of 48.
