JAMMU, Mar 19: Senior BJP leader and MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa, inaugurated the Tawi Cricket Academy today, aimed at nurturing young cricketing talent in the region. The academy, equipped with modern training facilities, is designed to provide aspiring cricketers with the necessary infrastructure and coaching to excel in the sport.
Randhawa congratulated Surinder Singh, the academy’s owner, for this significant initiative to promote sports and fitness among the youth. He emphasized the importance of such programs in directing young energy toward productive activities, especially amid the rising drug menace. He stated, “The best way to combat the growing drug abuse is by engaging youth in sports and constructive pursuits.”
Randhawa assured continued support from the BJP Government in enhancing sports infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir. He also interacted with the trainees and encouraged them to aim for excellence, confident that Jammu’s youth has the potential to represent India on national and international platforms.
