    What a gutting end to a fantastic knock. Looked to pull a shorter ball off the back foot, misses it and the ball crashes into off stump. He falls on 96 off 141 balls! Fourth wicket for Dharmendrasinh.

    YB Sarangi: Uttarakhand 159/5 in 58 overs at Tea, Lalwani 69 batting, Suchith J. 8 batting. 54-run stand between Lalwani and Yuvraj Choudhary (19), who was dropped by Ishan on 15 off leftarm spinner Vishal Bhati, for the fifth wicket.
    Second time lucky for Nidheesh. A faint sound was heard on the first ball of the over as he beat Jalaj with an inducker. Umpire says it came off the thigh pad. Goes fuller the next ball and the movement in traps the all-rounder in front! A 122-run partnership with Gaikwad broken. Nidheesh has his fourth.

    Aman Kumar is caught behind off Z.A. Khan for 22 to bring the Haryana innings to a close. Parth Vats the top scorer for the team with 52. Khan and Akash Pandey pick three wickets each. 
    Nehal Wadhera’s dismissal on 23 bring the 66-run stand with Saharan to a close. The former India U19 skipper now joined by Salil Arora at the crease. 
    A short stay for Samarth on debut. He is bowled by Saurav for 3 off 5 balls. Mokhade (77 batting) joined by Yash Rathod. 
    WICKET!! Dharmendrasinh strikes!! Full on leg stump, Karun misses his sweep. Looked it was going down leg, but the umpire raises his finger. End of a 146-run stand! R. Smaran the new batter in.

    Ajay Mandal leads the Chhattisgarh fightback after being reduced to 49 for five. The former CSK all-rounder unbeaten on 71, combining with Ashutosh Singh (41 batting) for a 93-run stand so far. 
    Badoni falls after his fifty. CV Milind with his second wicket. Sanat Sangwan (54 batting) joined by Ayush Doseja. 
    No century for Dhruv Shorey today. He is bowled by Tahmeed for 64 off 92 balls. Ravikumar Samarth, making his Vidarbha debut, comes in at 4. 
    Chandrasekar picks his second wicket of the day. Removes Kumar Kushagra for 11. Anukul Roy joins skipper Ishan Kishan. 
    YB Sarangi: Drinks: Uttarakhand 118/4 in 44 overs, Bhupen Lalwani 46 batting, Yuvraj Choudhary 9 batting, Jaiswal 3/24. Jaiswal picked up Shashwat Dangwal (17) in the fifth over of the second session. He lost the middle stump while trying to drive off a fuller delivery.
    Two wickets apiece for the spinners Sagar Udeshi and Jayant Yadav against Himachal Pradesh. Pukhraj Mann, the latest to go for 5. 
    Ruturaj Gaikwad brings up his fifty with a sleek cover drive. Just the sixth boundary in his 88-ball innings. His stand with Jalaj Saxena now nearing the nineties. 
    Fifty for captain Ayush Badoni! Rescues Delhi after stitching a partnership with Sanat Sangwan (43 batting). 
    Fifty for Karun Nair! Marks his Karnataka comeback with a fighting fifty. The partnership with Padikkal now just two shy of 100. 
    Skipper Senapati and Rajesh Dhuper put on a 50-run partnership to rescue Odisha after losing four wickets without scoring a run. 
    Dhruv Shorey too gets to his fifty for the defending Ranji champion. A huge first-innings total on the cards here for Vidarbha against Nagaland. 
    Abhinav Tejrana completes his fifty. After losing Prabhudessai after a 70-run association, he now has Lalit Yadav for company at the crease. 
    Prasanna: Gurjapneet has his third wicket in his second over after lunch. Sharandeep Singh (48, 102b, 6×4, 1×6) is caught behind. Kumar Kushagra the new batter. 
    Devdutt is dropped, edging his cut shot to first slip off Chetan Sakariya. The ball runs away to the boundary and helps him bring up his half-century. 
    Skipper Nehal Wadhera falls for a 67-ball 39, trapped in front by Aryan Pandey. Nehal Wadhera joins Uday Saharan in the middle. 
    Aman Mokhade continues on after his half-century. His partnership with Dhruv Shorey is now worth 70 runs. 
    Suraj Jaiswal picks his third wicket of the innings. Shashwat Dangal is bowled for 17 off 57 balls.

    Fifty-run partnership between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Jalaj Saxena in the rescue act for Maharashtra. The pair has started opening up, driving overpitched deliveries to the fence with ease. 
    Karun Nair and Devdutt Padikkal combine for a 50-run stand after the two early jolts. 
    Prasanna: Gurjapneet Singh, brought back into the attack and switching to bowl from the Pavilion end in the 29th over, brings the 55-run third-wicket stand (90 balls) between left-hander Virat Singh (28, 47b, 4×4) and Sharandeep Singh (35 n.o., 73b, 3×4, 1×6) to an end. Virat nicks behind to the keeper. 
    Ishan Kishan the new batter in at 5. 
    Vipraj Nigam removes Abhishek Reddy to break the 93-run stand with Bharat. Shaik Rasheed is the new batter in for Andhra. 
    The wicket of skipper Denish Das (16) has brought in Riyan Parag at 4. Pradyun Saikia going well at the top, unbeaten on 69. 
    Himanshu Sangwan picks up his second wicket of the day, traps Dheeru Singh in front. Parth Vats and Sumit Kumar will have to provide some lower-order resistance for Haryana.

    Fifty for Kona Bharat! The wicketkeeper-bat puts up a solid opening partnership with Abhishek Reddy. Bharat has fallen down the pecking order in the Indian system and will be hoping for a bucketload of runs to bring his name back in the reckoning. 
    Yudhvir picks up his second. Ajinkya Rahane is dismissed for 27 off 66 balls. All three dismissals in the game so far have been edges to the keeper. 
    A gaffe in the scoreboard had shown Sarfaraz had been out for a duck in the first over. The updated scorecard says, in fact, it was Musheer who was dismissed. Sarfaraz has come in to bat at 5 after Rahane’s dismissal. 
    Atharva Taide falls for 18 against Saurav. Dhruv Shorey joins Aman Mokhade at the crease. 
    Ayush Mhatre is dismissed for 22 off 59 by Yudhvir Singh. Siddhesh Lad joins Rahane in the middle. 
    Pradyun Saikia scores a fifty for Assam against Gujarat. A 44-run stand brewing with skipper Denish Das. 
    Two players in either end of their careers stick up a 50-run stand after Sarfaraz’s early dismissal. 
    Mhatre unbeaten on 28, while former skipper Rahane bats on 21. 
    Atit Sheth picks up his second wicket. Govind Poddar is bowled by the all-rounder for zero. Four wickets have fallen with the score at 49. 
    Rajasthan’s other left-armer now strikes twice after Khaleel’s early incursions. Aniket Choudhary packs Sanjeet Desai (10) and Amandeep Khare (0). 
    Two wickets in four balls for Baroda against Odisha. Barghav Bhatt removes Sandeep Pattnaik for nought after Gaurav Choudhary was run out on 24. Skipper Subranshu Senapati in at 4. 
    Right on cue, Atit Sheth removes the set Swastik Samal on 24. Odisha three down. 
    Suraj Jaiswal picks up two wickets in back-to-back overs. Prashant Chopra and Kunal Chandela are back in the hut. 
    Swapnil Singh removes Irfan Ali to give Tripura the breakthrough against Services. 
    Vishu Kashyap breaks the 45-run opening stand, removing Manthan Khutkar on 21. Suyash Prabhudessai is joined by Abhinav Tejrana. 
    Prasanna: Left-arm spinner D.T. Chandrasekar strikes off his second ball after coming into the attack in the 14th over. Kumar Suraj goes on the backfoot to cut and misses for the ball to knock his middle stump off the ground.
    Nishant Sindhu falls for 10 off 9 balls to Z. A. Khan. Haryana in dire straits at 55/4. 
    WICKET!! Nikin Jose departs for 12. Looks to come down the track and flick one through midwicket. The inside edge pops up off the pad and the slip fielder completes an easy catch. 
    Two wickets in quick succession for Hyderabad. Arpit Rana falls for 7 before Yash Dhull is dismissed for a duck. A wicket apiece for Punnaiah and Milind. 
    S. Prasanna Venkatesan: After 10 overs, Jharkhand 19/1. Left-arm pacer Gurjapneet Singh had opener and left-hander Shikhar Mohan’s off-stump uprooted in the sixth over (11/1).
    WICKET!! Nidheesh picks up his third wicket. Saurabh Nawale is trapped in front by one that moves back in. 
    WICKET!! Himanshu Sangwan removes Lakshya Dalal on 29 off 45 balls. Yashvardan Dalal, the new batter in. 
    WICKET!! Arzan Nagwaswalla breaks the Assam opening partnership. Parvej Musaraf falls for 10 off 22 balls. 
    WICKET!! Saransh picks his second. Removes Jaskaran Singh Paul on 15. Anmolpreet Singh joins Uday Saharan in the middle. 
    Anmol’s stay is cut short by Saransh. He departs for a four-ball nought. 
    WICKET! Mayank Shandilya falls for 9 off 11 balls against Z.A. Khan. Nishant Sindhu in at 4 for Haryana. 
    YB Sarangi: Bengal won the toss and asked Uttarakhand to bat. The visiting openers showed some patience before the first change bowler Ishan Porel, replacing Mohd Shami, had Avneesh Sudha (12) caught at second slip in his second over and the innings’ 11th over. The star pair Shami-Akash Deep bowled eight overs together, but Uttarakhand batters negotiated well on a warm morning. Nothing much for the pacers so far.

    Couple of interesting talking points from the game: 
    – 17-year-old off-spinner Hemchudeshan debuts for TN.
    – India U-19 all-rounder R.S. Ambrish (18) also debuts.
    – 32-year-old left-arm spinner D.T. Chandrasekar plays a Ranji match for TN after 10 years.

    Bengal has won the toss and opted to field against Uttarakhand in Kolkata. This encounter will begin at 9:00 am IST due to the early sunrise in eastern India. 
    Odisha has won the toss and opted to bat first in Cuttack against Baroda.
