Lhuan-dre Pretorius recorded his highest List A score against India A on Wednesday (November 19).
The third and final 50-over game of the sides’ three-match series kicked off at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot at 9:00 am on Wednesday, brought forward from its initially scheduled time of 1:30 pm. The hosts had won the first two games, meaning a consolation win was the only reward on the table for South Africa A.

Home captain Tilak Varma won the toss and fielded first. Openers Rivaldo Moonsamy and 19-year-old Lhuan-dre Pretorius got off to a brisk start, putting on 50 in 6.5 overs before going on to stitch a century partnership in 15.3 overs.
Pretorius was the first to reach a half-century, getting there off 39 balls. The 150 of the partnership came up in 25.2 overs, and the 200 in 32.5. Pretorius brought up a century off just 87 balls, laced with eight fours and three sixes. Two overs later, he doubled the latter tally by hitting off-spinner Ayush Badoni for three in a row.
Pretorius made 123 off 97 balls, before he was dismissed by Prasidh Krishna. It is his highest List A score, overtaking the 120 he made for the Titans against Western Province earlier this year. South Africa A posted 325-6, thanks to an unbeaten 30 off 15 at the end from Delano Potgieter.
Since breaking out at senior level last year with a century on first-class debut, Pretorius’ career has gone from strength to strength. He was the top run-scorer in SA20 2025, and in July became the youngest South African to score a Test century when made 153 on debut against Zimbabwe. He has also been retained by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the upcoming IPL auction.
