Here are the Chennai openers – Rachin Ravindra and Rahul Tripathi – in the middle. CSK have not chased a 180+ total since 2019. They will look to break the trend and hunt this down. Jofra Archer is in for RR with the ball first up. He hasn’t had a good time so far in IPL 2025. Square leg and deep third at the fence. Off we go.
A single on the final ball as Rajasthan end on 182/9. This is a strong total, considering the spinners are getting assistance here. Nitish Rana the highlight with his 81. CSK did well to peg them back and keep them below 200 but this is a strong total, considering the conditions on offer.

Vijay Shankar, paying his first game for CSK this season, pulls off a blinder at deep mid-wicket. He covered a lot of ground to get there and took a brilliant low catch while tumbling on the ground. Top stuff!
Jurel is gone early. RR losing a few here. Jurel looked to go over covers but gets a thick edge which is taken well by a diving Pathirana at short third.
End of the brilliant knock from Nitish Rana. Ashwin sends this wide as Rana charged down the wicket and is beaten to get stumped. End of a brilliant 81-run knock from Rana.
Noor Ahmad strikes and gets the crucial breakthrough. He gets Sanju Samson, who has holed it out to long-off. Parag is now in.
Rana is playing a brilliant knock here. He gets to his fifty off just 21 balls with that four over point.
Nitish Rana is playing well here. He is going risk-free and has hit three fours and a six.
Khaleel strikes again in the powerplay. Yashasvi Jaiswal started with a fabulous four and is gone third ball. He chipped this to mid-off to fall for four.

Would’ve done the same as well. My hometown, been brought up here and played a lot of cricket here, surreal feeling to play in front of all these people. We’ve done well in small bits, it’s about coming together and putting up a collective performance. Same team for us.
Looks a good wicket, better than the last game that was played here so we’ll look to chase. So far so good, it was a quick turnaround, very little time for us but that’s how the IPL is. We have to be ready. We have come here for the first time as a franchise, good to see all the love we’ve got. Two changes, Overton in for Curran and Vijay Shankar in as well.
