Shubman Gill & Co. Troll England Openers For Deliberately Wasting Time On Day 3 | Watch – News18

India’s Test captain Shubman Gill was not happy with England opener Zak Crawley’s time-wasting tactics on Saturday (July 12) during England’s second innings of the ongoing third Test at Lord’s. Crawley, who faced six balls from Bumrah in the last few minutes of the third day’s play, tried his level best to waste time so that the Indian team could not bowl more than one over on Saturday. Crawley’s tactics worked for him and England, but it annoyed Gill, who, after the fourth ball of the first over, trolled Crawley with his other Indian teammates by clapping.
The clip of Gill’s savage act was shared by fans on X, and within no time it went viral on the internet.
Gill’s clapping act, however, irked Crawley, and the duo was then seen charging towards each other and exchanging some heated words.
Several pictures and videos of drama between the players from two teams are also going viral on the internet.
In the second innings, England came out to bat at 10:54 PM IST, and ideally there was an opportunity to bowl two overs. But Crawley took more than six minutes to face six balls from Bumrah, and that’s why only one over was possible on Saturday night.
    India all out for 387

In their first innings, despite KL Rahul’s 100-run knock, India could only manage to post a total of 387 runs in 119.2 overs. Apart from Rahul, Rishabh Pant scored 74 runs, and Ravindra Jadeja contributed 72 runs to India’s total. For England, Chris Woakes picked up three wickets for 84 runs, and in the first innings of his first red-ball match after more than four years, Jofra Archer picked up 2 for 52 runs in 23.2 overs.
In their first innings of the ongoing red-ball match at the Home of Cricket, England also posted a total of 387 runs.
